Can dogs eat Venison liver?

Venison liver(鹿レバー)

With care

Deer liver, very high in copper and vitamin A.

What kind of food is this?

The deer's liver. Very high in copper and vitamin A, and its zinc is also above the average of the meats listed here.

Liver is an organ whose nutrient numbers swing sharply even in small amounts. Copper and vitamin A in particular build up in the body, so use it as one part of a meal, not as the main meat.

In breeds known to accumulate copper in the liver (such as the Bedlington Terrier and West Highland White Terrier), take care that copper-rich foods do not continue day after day.

If bought from a supermarket or other source meant for the human table, cook it through to the center before serving. Products sold as raw food for dogs should be used according to that product's instructions.

When you have these care goals

Skin and coat care — A cut that contains vitamin A, copper, and iron. One of the foods that comes up when thinking about skin and coat care.
