Can dogs eat Pork lung?

Pork lung(豚肺)

Safe to feed

An organ meat high in iron and low in fat.

Best as a side

85 kcal per 100 g

What kind of food is this?

Pig lung. Per 100g: 85kcal, 14.1g of protein, and 2.72g of fat, with a high 18.9mg of iron.

The fat is light, but even a small amount moves the iron numbers. Rather than a main meat, it is a cut to fold into meals when you want iron from an organ other than lean red meat.

If bought from a supermarket or other source meant for people, cook it through to the center before serving. If sold as raw food for dogs, follow that product's instructions.

How to serve

Pork requires caution regarding parasites and Aujeszky's disease. For this reason, cook it before serving.
