Can dogs eat Bilberry?
Bilberry(ビルベリー)
Safe to feed
A close relative of the blueberry, known for being rich in blue-purple anthocyanins.
What kind of food is this?
A wild berry native to cold regions such as Northern Europe. The blue-purple color comes from anthocyanins, polyphenol pigments.
Anthocyanins are studied for their possible role in protecting cells from oxidative damage. They also come up in research on eye tissue and blood vessels, but that does not mean bilberry prevents eye disease.
The values on this page have no official standard source and are estimated from the closely related blueberry. Bilberry's real point is not the fine nutrient numbers but being an anthocyanin-containing berry.
