What kind of food is this?
A vegetable in the same allium family as onions. Allium compounds can oxidatively damage a dog's red blood cells, which can lead to hemolytic anemia.
The compounds pass into water, so even with the green onion itself removed, the broth or soup is not for dogs.
What stays in the broth
In dishes with a lot of liquid, such as hot pots and stews, the compounds transfer into the broth as well. Even if you remove the green onion itself, food with that broth on it should be treated the same way.
